Looking Into Vacation Liability Insurance

Nothing can ruin a vacation more than an accident. Everyone was just out to have a good time, but stuff happens. Someone forgets to put on the parking break. The bungee cord wasn’t as secure as you thought. You use too much lighter fluid on the barbecue. A grizzly bear invades the RV park and everyone blames you for forgetting to stash your trash. Whatever it was, there’s been an accident and your vaycay is about to be spoiled by a court day. You may want to look into vacation liability insurance.

Vacation Liability Insurance

You, of course, want to get insurance for your motorhome. An option you may want to look into is vacation liability. Your typical RV liability and auto insurance stops covering you once you get parked. But suppose an accident happens at an RV park or campsite after you’ve parked? You would be covered by vacation liability insurance. It specifically covers any and all damage, whether to property or body you may accidentally cause to others while parked. This includes injuries that happen inside the RV, such as tripping, being hit by a fallen object or Fifi thinking Mrs. Carruthers’ wig looks like a hissing cat. Vacation liability insurance applies to any incident that occurs when your RV is stationary and not on the road. It is generally not a very expensive option to add to your standard RV insurance and may in fact save you a good deal of money in the long run. If you travel a lot in your motorhome, vacation liability insurance may most certainly be a wise investment to add to your standard RV insurance.
